General notes

  • The OS assumed in these guides is Windows.

What you need to know

  • At least basic computer manipulation (making files, opening files, copying files, making folders, etc)
  • You don't need to know how to code. Mods like changing images and specifying a new language requires no coding.
  • Some guides require knowledge of XML format. This is just a text format that is easy to understand. The guides will guide you on how to do it.

Required Software for Mods without Code

  • The Academia: School Simulator game software - You can buy it on Steam or through our website.
  • A text editor - Notepad is enough but we highly suggest Notepad++.
  • An image processing software - Paint, GIMP, or Photoshop, any image software will do as long as it can export to PNG format.
